Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your support while I was in the hospital.  It meant so much to me that you would take the time to come see me.  Your kind words, company, and prayers really made a difference.

I can’t begin to express what your gifts meant to me and my family.  The money is most definitely helpful and will go to extremely good use, there’s no doubt about that.  But more than the monetary value, I so greatly appreciate the thought behind the gifts, the flowers and the cards were great to look at when times were hard.

This time has been very difficult for me, but knowing I have the support of friends like you certainly helps.  Please know I won’t ever forget the kind gestures.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.  Each day I continue to improve, showing the doctors that said I’d never walk again. WRONG!

See you soon,

Jenny Masters

On January 27, 2008 Jack Yunghans and W. J. McNeal attended that annual UAW MO-KAN Credit Union meeting at the Credit Union office at 3254 Brinkerhoff Road.  Office Manager Donna Johnson gave a report stating that the Credit Union had received a “2” rating  with  #1 being the best on a scale of 1-5.  The CU has a children’s savings club which is designed to teach children to save.  Each time the child makes a deposit, they receive a toy.  There are currently 63 children in this club.  There was an election for two offices:  Danny Casey was re-elected to the office of Member at Large and Jack Yunghans was re-elected to the office of Recording Secretary.  Ten $25.00 door prizes were given and deposited to each of the winners’ accounts.  Anyone wishing to join the Credit Union can go by the Brinkerhoff address or call at 913-342-0293.  Retirees are eligible to maintain accounts at the Credit Union.
