Brothers and Sisters of Local 31,

First, I would like to welcome all the new transfers to Local 31.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 7643.

For those of you that did not attend the March union meeting, we did elect the election committee, thank you to all that ran.

By the time this article comes out, the vote to Move the floating holiday will be over. Please keep in mind the voting population decided (those members who took the time to go to the hall and vote).  I always here the rumor about “If I don’t go vote that is an automatic YES vote or that’s an automatic NO vote” if you do not vote, it does not count for YES or NO in any election.  Please always exercise your right to vote it does count.  It is your voice let it be heard.

The special attrition program is coming up; please think this over before you make a decision.  After the deadline, there is no turning back.  Congratulations to everyone who got there time back with the past contract and to everyone who gets to retire with the attrition program.

Race to the White House is still tight.  Hopefully they can get the primaries done and we can get busy on endorsing a candidate.  We will need all of your help, so please try to volunteer when something comes up.
